Summary

The Palopo property is considered to be a highly prospective project based on the gold mineralisation outlined to date at the Mangkaluku prospect and the presence of four other prospects that have not been explored in any detail. Gold mineralisation has been outlined over an extensive area at Mangkaluku and the limited drill testing to date can only be considered scout drilling. Reconnaissance exploration has located mineralisation at four other prospects within the Palopo property. The surrounding prospects, while not as advanced as Mangkaluku, are all relatively close, are in a similar geological and structural setting, and have substantial evidence of mineralisation of a similar style.

Past exploration programs have been very successful in identifying extensive zones of surface gold mineralisation, which were subsequently intersected in drilling. (Palopo Project NI 43-101 Technical Report) All drill holes completed intersected gold mineralised veins in two northeast trending zones, confirming overall continuity of the mineralised zones although the drilling is too wide spaced to confirm continuity of individual veins within the zones. The central zone is more laterally extensive, structurally complex and appears to have greater tonnage potential than the western zone.

The drilling programs have demonstrated that the quartz vein-hosted gold mineralisation outlined at surface continues at depth. The prospect is still at the exploration stage and the holes drilled to date are too widely spaced to carry out any resource or reserve estimations.

Fifty trenches with a cumulative length of 1,858.8m were excavated and 684 channel samples collected over lengths varying from 1 to 5m.The trenching and associated geological mapping identified two zones of mineralisation: a fairly linear north northeast trending zone of mineralisation in the west of the prospect, and a northeast to east northeast trending zone of more widespread mineralisation in the central and eastern portions of the prospect.

Location and Access

The Property is located within the designated city boundary of Palopo which is a substantial city with a population of over 120,000 people located approximately 360km north northeast of the provincial capital of Makassar.

Access to the property is by daily flights from Jakarta to Makassar and then via the sealed Trans Sulawesi Highway to Palopo which currently takes about eight hours driving time. Access to the property from Palopo is by good quality sealed roads to Latuppa village and then by plantation footpaths and walking trails.

The climate is tropical monsoonal with relative humidity ranging between 60-90%. The area is outside the cyclone/typhoon zone and exploration and mining can be conducted all year round. The terrain is rugged and reaches heights of 1,200m ASL in the west.
